We use personal information to:

  • Provide design, proofing, and customization services.
  • Communicate about orders, proofs, invoices, shipping, and customer support.
  • Send marketing communications only when you have given consent (see Section 11).

Under PIPEDA, we collect, use, and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent, except where otherwise permitted or required by law. By using the Site or submitting information, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure described in this Policy. You may withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 10, though withdrawal may affect our ability to provide services.

6 Cookies, tracking & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and understand usage patterns:

  • Essential cookies: required for cart, checkout, login, and site security.
  • Analytics cookies: collect anonymized usage data to improve the Site (e.g., page visits, bounce rate).
  • Marketing cookies: used to deliver and measure marketing campaigns and, where applicable, serve personalized ads.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of certain analytics/marketing tools. Disabling cookies may reduce website functionality.

  • Payment processors and financial institutions (for payment authorization and fraud detection).
  • Shipping carriers and fulfillment partners.
  • Design and print partners for production (under confidentiality obligations).
  • Analytics and advertising platforms (if you consent to such processing).
  • Legal or regulatory authorities when required by law.

We enter data-processing agreements with service providers and expect them to maintain appropriate safeguards. Personal information may be processed or stored outside Canada; where data is transferred internationally we implement contractual and organizational safeguards.

8 Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access or disclosure. Examples include encryption of sensitive data in transit, secure servers, and access controls. No system is impenetrable — we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach is discovered, we will comply with applicable notification requirements.

9 Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described (order fulfillment, legal compliance, tax reporting, dispute resolution). Retention periods vary by data type; practical retention periods typically range from the completion of services plus 2–7 years for accounting and legal obligations. If you request deletion, we will remove your data unless retention is required by law.

Subject to applicable law, you may:

Requests should be sent to dan@ataglance.store. We will respond within a reasonable time and, where required by law, within statutory timelines.
