After the pandemic, we watched something quiet—and important—decline: people’s ability to focus. Distraction became the background noise of daily life, and simple routines were crowded out. GLANCE began in Toronto with one clear intention: to restore small, dependable routines that help people do less and do what matters more. Our first idea was elegantly simple — a product you see and use every morning — and it became the foundation for everything we build.

How we started

Founded by Dan Bucayan in Toronto, GLANCE began as a personal experiment: a laminated coaster used each morning to list small tasks. The simple task worked. Momentum followed. What began at a kitchen counter became a question: how could this quiet tool help more people and more places? From that question came two products with one shared goal — to create presence, not noise.
